  • Average 4-star ratings on major social media/review sites (Google, Yelp, Angie’s List and prominent local review sites)

  • Better Business Bureau history with no unresolved complaints or red-flag issues

  • Written customer dispute resolution process

  • Solutions-based approach to address customer needs

  • Systems-based approach to trade-specific elements (e.g., ducts with equipment), as well as whole-home elements

  • A strategy to proactively seek customer feedback
  • All licenses required to practice their trade(s) in the jurisdictions where the firm conducts business
  • Internal processes to ensure that all work is properly permitted
  • Proper control of dealers/subcontractors/others who do certifiable work
  • Demonstrated success working with other organizations (good standing with utility programs, industry groups, etc.)
  • CRM (customer relationship management) software used to manage customer accounts
  • Commitment to support workforce through regularly scheduled sales and safety meetings
  • Continuous education opportunities (conferences, certificates, classes, trainings)
